As Nancy wrote, Julia did an incredible job of organizing the swap last year. The fact that we all remember it so well and have so much praise for the swap is certainly testimony to her hard work and the success of the swap! It's understandable if no one is quite able to spare the time and resources to get the swap off the ground this year, and as Nancy also pointed out, I don't think we have quite enough time left before Valentine's day to organize another.

Here's an alternative idea: how about a Valentine's swap on a smaller scale... what if we do it like the Secret Santa gifts? Each person makes a doll-sized Valentine and sends it to one person (or doll, if we want to do this between dolls only!) who they are assigned. Or we can agree on a number, say, 2 or 3, and each person makes 2 or 3 Valentines and sends it to 2 or 3 different people. That way we'll still have a few Valentine's surprises, but one person won't be stuck with all of the work, since each Valentine will cost only the amount of a stamp to send and can be organized by email. Just a suggestion!
